Mike Crockart is campaigning to save local post offices.

People across North Edinburgh have reacted furiously to the decision by the Labour Government to destroy the post office network by closing another 2,500 branches.

Labour has already closed 3,000 post offices over the last few years, including 20 branches across Edinburgh.

Labour's latest announcement has created an uncertain future for even more local branches.

Liberal Democrats are opposing Labour's closure plans. Mike Crockart said, "Post offices are at the heart of local communities. Local people will rightly feel a sense of betrayal by Labour's decision to close another 2,500 branches."
