Elaine Morris wants to see better buses for Pilton

Local Liberal Democrat, Elaine Morris is campaigning for improved bus services for Pilton. In response to a letter from Elaine on timings of the 19 and 47 bus services, Lothian Buses promised to monitor the situation with a view to running a better service on both routes.

Lothian Buses have also recognised the demand for a bus along Pilton Drive. However, they say they would have to remove another route to provide this service and that 'traffic calming measures on Pilton Drive make it unsuitable for a regular bus operation'.

Meanwhile, local people were left astonished when Pilton's current Labour councillor openly opposed the local Lib Dem campaign to improve bus services in Pilton. Elaine said, "Unlike Labour, I want to see better buses in Pilton."
