Kevin Lang and the Liberal Democrats want to see a renewable revolution in Scotland

Scottish Liberal Democrats have supported moves by the Scottish Government to speed up the planning process for new renewable energy developments.

Edinburgh North & Leith Liberal Democrat Spokesman, Kevin Lang said, "Scotland has the potential to become the renewable powerhouse of Europe. Scotland needs a planning process that speeds up the delivery of renewable projects and not a process that gets in the way.

"Around on quarter of CO2 emissions come from households so the more we can move to cleaner, greener, renewable energy, the greater role Scotland can play in tackling global climate change. The more Scotland does in advancing renewable technology, the more that knowledge and technology can be transferred to countries around the world."
